Colorado Tour - Boulder and Vail Summit -

Colorado has become the hot spot in the USA for avid cyclists and elite athletes and Davanti Cycling brings you here with this new tour. The astonishing Rocky Mountains and uncontaminated nature offer, at altitude, challenging and scenic riding in beautiful surroundings. Climb the passes of the Rocky Mountains, roll trhrough the valleys and canyons by the Colorado and Eagle rivers. Visit the world famous ski resorts of Vail and Aspen riding over the Continental Divide. You will start in the university town of Boulder, elevation 5430 feet, ride into Rocky National Park and later visit the Olympic Center in Colorado Springs. Then we move to Vail and ride over passes and through beautiful valleys. Your amazing cycling week concludes with your participation in a local race.

Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Saturday August 1
Arrive in Colorado: pick up at Denver International airport and transfer to our base hotel in Boulder where we will spend four nights.
After settling down at the hotel we will assemble your own bike or position you on the rental bike.

Day 2 : August 2
You will climb the beautiful and challenging Flagstaff and NCAR overlooking the entire city of Boulder (50-70 km)
Possibility to have a lactate threshold test or a custom bike fit at the Davanti Cycling Center.

Day 3: August 3
You will ride up to the entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park to the western town of Estes Park (50-90-100 miles/80-140-160 km loop)
Dinner and overnight at our base hotel in Boulder
Day 4: August 4
Visit Olympic Center in Colorado Springs and ride in the surroundings
Dinner and overnight in Boulder
Day 5: August 5
Today, you will leave Boulder; van transfer to Loveland and ride to Vail through Loveland and Vail Pass coasting the beautiful mountain lake of Dillon (80-90 km)
Dinner at overnight at our hotel in the famous and elegant ski resort of Vail
Day 6: August 6
Today you will ride through canyons and valleys along the Eagle and Colorado rivers (options 60-100-160 km)

Day 7: August 7
Today you will climb 3 beautiful passes in the Vail valley (120 km loop)

Day 8: August 8
Today you will climb the Indipendent pass cross the continental divide and reach the second famous ski resort of Aspen and enjoy the beautiful view of the Maroon Bells.
Van transfer back to Boulder

Participation in local race in Boulder
Farwell dinner and overnight in Boulder
